Nokia smartphones had overtaken sales of the Google, HTC, OnePlus and Sony

The Finnish company Global HMD, to revive the mobile brand of Nokia, has sold more than 4 million smartphones in the last quarter of 2017. It is stated in the report of the analytical company Counterpoint Research.

Sales of $ 4.4 million smartphones and a market share of 1% brought HMD to 11th place in the world ranking of smartphone manufacturers. This means that Nokia sold in the fourth quarter more than many other brands. HMD has overtaken the supply of such well-known manufacturers of smartphones like HTC, Sony, OnePlus, ASUS, Lenovo and Google.

If you take the individual regions, in some cases the HMD are even better. So, in the UK Nokia is in third place, and Russia — on the fifth. Also HMD have managed to restore the position of Nokia in the segment of simple phones, returning the brand first place in the world with a share of 15%.
