Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (Ming-Chi Kuo) from the company KGI Securities, known for its connections with supply chain producers, has shared a batch of predictions regarding Apple’s smartphone for the next year.

According to analysts, in 2018 Apple will equip their smartphones modems Intel XMM 7560 and Qualcomm Snapdragon X20, which would provide higher speed cellular standard LTE. Both chip supports 4×4 MIMO, whereas the current generation iPhone uses 2×2 MIMO.

In addition, Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that in the models by 2018 Apple finally implements support work with two SIM-cards. Both SIM cards can work simultaneously in the LTE mode, using only one set of chips.

Earlier the analyst said that in 2018 we are waiting for three new Apple smartphone. The lineup will include 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch versions with OLED display and a 6.1-inch LCD screen. All three models get the frameless display almost the entire front panel and the camera system TrueDepth as the flagship iPhone X.

New 6.1-inch version with LCD screen with low resolution will be a slightly simplified version of the iPhone X and must be the cheapest, the estimated starting price will range from 649 to 749 dollars. 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch versions with OLED display will be the successor of the current iPhone X and its enhanced variation, respectively.
